You have already started writing the story of your divorce. You write the narrative; we believe you should write the result too. As your mediator, my role is to educate, inspire, and encourage thoughtful negotiations of long-term solutions for your unique and particular circumstances. No two families are alike and cookie-cutter solutions are rarely longterm ones. The best separation plans are the ones that are tailor-made - for you and by you. We're here to help.
Our office is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Century City, on the westside of Los Angeles. Our modern facilities offer up both the space and technology to conduct in person and virtual mediation sessions and consultations.
DIVORCE & SEPARATION
Separation and divorce can be distressing, often fueled by anger, fear, bitterness and regret. Through mediation, you and your spouse can develop a practical plan for asset division, support, and child custody in a peaceful, non-adversarial, process that focusses on your family's unique circumstances. Mediation helps parties stay in control of the decisions that will affect the most integral parts of their lives. The process is private, efficient, party and child focussed, and collaborative - empowering both parties with authorship of their life's next chapter.
CHILD CUSTODY
In a child-focussed and interest-driven mediation process, parties can maintain control over life's most important decisions - those that affect their children. Mediation provides a safe space to brainstorm parenting plans and consider your children's best interests, while setting the stage for future cooperation and a positive co-parenting relationship.
Despite the potential for shared custody and fair parenting plans, no agreement will ever be able to effectively “split the baby” and the prospect of being without one’s child for any length of time can be devastating for a parent. In mediation, parents are reminded and directed to consider the best interests of the children when negotiating their agreement. The process allows parents discuss and consider different practical proposals that can best meet the children’s needs, in a confidential, non-judgmental and collaborative setting. Mutual agreement on custody and parenting may not be easy, but it can be possible.
CONSULTING & COLLABORATIVE ATTORNEY
Mediated decisions that are well-informed, with independent legal advice, are less likely to result in regret and disatisfaction. Similarly, the collaborative family law process allows you to stay in control of both process and outcome, with the assistance of counsel, in a non-adversarial and dignified way. Self-empowerment in consensual dispute resolution does not mean you must go it alone.
PRE-MARITAL AGREEMENTS
Believe it or not, negotiating a premarital agreement is a loving act, even if it is not a remarkably romantic one. In many family circumstances, a premarital agreement is a reasonable, well-advised, and prudent risk management and estate planning initiative. Your lawyers can help ensure the agreement addresses and balances each of your risks, clarifies your financial rights and obligations, and effectuates your mutual intentions. Your mediator can facilitate the dialogue that will help you and your partner better understand those risks, address your respective needs and expectations, and determine your intentions. The process is collaborative, non-adversarial and goal-oriented, inviting both the Head and the Heart to the table.
VIRTUAL MEDIATION
With the wonders of modern technology, you can now participate in a productive and goals-focused mediation process from the comfort of…well…anywhere. Your virtual mediation can provide you with the flexibility and convenience you need, without sacrificing mediation process tools or results.
